Before we go through the backup process on iCloud, you should know that backed up photos can still disappear from the cloud if you delete them from your device. For this reason, many people choose alternate methods, so it’s something to keep in mind.
It’s always good to back up your photos, so go to Settings, select your Apple ID and then click on iCloud. Finally, choose which apps you can use with iCloud and turn on the Photos option, to enable the backup. If you don’t have enough storage, simply go to Manage Storage on Settings and purchase more storage space.
Google Photos Backup on Apple Devices
If you don’t trust your iCloud backup and you want the Google Photos backup but you have an Apple device, don’t worry! You can still do it. All you need to do is download the Google Photos app, launch it and create a Google account if you don’t have one or sign in if you do. Click on More, go to Settings, then click on Uploads and select the Auto-Save option to make sure your photos are automatically backed up.
Now that we’ve seen the many different ways you can backup your photos on your phone, the question arises: is one back up enough? What if you have precious photos you never want to lose, such as your wedding photos? Well, the best thing you can do to make absolutely sure your photos are safe is to use more than one backup service. Cloud services aren’t invulnerable to hacking or data loss, so even though it’s less likely, it can still happen and you should prepare.
Choose more than one backup service and you’ll be able to keep all your photos safe. It doesn’t matter which services you choose, just make sure you trust them with your files and don’t wait to get this done. The earlier you back up your photos, the better it will be. Make sure you go through the backup process as you should, and then you won’t have to worry about losing precious photos ever again.
